I purchased this backpack to replace my gym duffle bag. The reviews I read stated that it was large enough for clothes and supplies which is why I need the bag. I was very impressed with the rugged look of the backpack because I think aesthetics are important. The overall functionality is just okay for my purpose. I honestly thought the bag was going to be a bit larger and roomier, however, I make it work. I carry my gym clothes, shoes, body care products and other fitness items in the bag. Everything fits, but, it is a tight fit. I suppose when I go hiking during the fall and spring and remove the gym items I will probably have ample room for the hiking supplies (water, snacks, etc.). I am pleased with the purchase and the price was very reasonable. I enjoy the outdoors, but, I am not an avid outdoors-woman who spends a great deal of time outdoors, so I can't judge if this is a rugged hiking/camping backpack that will withstand all of the extremes of constant use.
